Design by Jørgen Gammelgaard for Pandul.
During his time in Samoa as a UN advisor in the 1960s, Jørgen Gammelgaard's only source of light was a simple fluorescent lamp. To improve the light quality, Gammelgaard tilted the lamp and added a series of cut plastic lids. This project eventually became the inspiration for this lamp, which was immediately purchased by Statens Kunstfond after its launch. The concept behind the lamp is beautifully translated into these hanging and mounted lamps, featuring 6 handmade aluminum lampshades. The lampshades are available in brushed and wet lacquered finishes. This particular Tip Top hanging lamp comes with individual lampshades in various sizes, all fitting in the same socket. It complements the multicolored Samoa edition. Please note that Pandul lamps are produced and assembled in Denmark, with weekly shipping from the factory. Therefore, delivery times can be up to 8 days.
